1. 1964 - Jawaharlal Nehru (was an Indian independence activist, and subsequently, thefirst Prime Minister of India and a central figure in Indian politics before and after independence. He emerged as an eminent leader of the Indian independence movement and served India as Prime Minister from its establishment as an independent nation in 1947 until his death in 1964. He was also known as pandit Nehru due to his roots with the Kashmiri Pandit community while Indian children knew him as chacha Nehru. The first big national involvement of Nehru came at the onset of the Non-Cooperation movement 1920.

2. 1966 - IC Chacko- (a multilingual scholar who contributed immensely as an interpreter, critic, researcher, scientist and poet and worked hard to develop technical terminology to present scientific topics in Malayalam)

3. 1978 - Mahakavi P Kunhiraman Nair - (also known asMahakavi P, was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature. He was known for his romantic poems which detailed the natural beauty of his home state of Kerala in southern India as well as the realities of his life and times. He received the inauguralKerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetryin 1959. He was also a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award.

4. 2001 - ICP Namboodiri - (ICP Namboothiri, a social reformer and political leader born in Ittiyamparambu Illum He entered politics through the Congress, became the editor of the Morning Party when the Congress Socialist Party was formed, and later became a Communist. After the Morashi incident, he went hiding to escape from the police, when the party split he stood with the CPI, fought against the customs of the Namboodiri community, led reform among them and worked towards this goal through the weekly Yoga kshemam.
